Courtesy cars · Marrickville

Keep moving while yours is in.

Being without a car for a week is the part of a repair that actually hurts. We keep courtesy vehicles for workshop customers and arrange hire cars where your policy covers one, so the repair fits around your life instead of stopping it.

Ask early

Courtesy cars are limited and they go to whoever booked first. If you need one, say so when you book the repair rather than on the morning you drop the car off, and we will hold one against your job.

If your comprehensive policy includes a hire car after an accident, we will organise that instead as part of the claim. And if the repair is short enough, pickup and delivery is often simpler than a second car altogether.

Your options

Three ways to stay on the road

Workshop courtesy car

A vehicle from our own pool, subject to availability, for the duration of your repair. Book it when you book the job.

Hire car on your policy

Many comprehensive policies include a hire car after an at-fault or not-at-fault accident. We arrange it and it goes on the claim.

Pickup and delivery instead

For shorter jobs, letting us collect and return the car is usually less disruptive than picking up a second one.

Pickup & delivery

Not-at-fault accidents

If someone else hit you, you may be entitled to a replacement car.

Where another driver is at fault, the cost of keeping you mobile is generally recoverable from their insurer. The rules around this are worth understanding before you accept the first offer you are given. Bring us the other driver's details when you book and we will point you in the right direction.

Courtesy car questions

Ask us when you book and we will tell you exactly what applies to your job — availability, what you are responsible for while the car is with you, and any cost. It is all on the paperwork before you take the keys, never after.

No, and we will not pretend otherwise — there are only so many. Ask as early as you can and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold one for your dates, or arrange a hire car through your policy instead.

Many comprehensive policies do, often for a set number of days. Check your PDS for a hire car benefit, or tell us your insurer and we will look at how their policy usually handles it.
